CES 2001 Live From Las Vegas

On Site report by Yanman and Joe

Welcome to Yanman.com's coverage of the 2001 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

This year we got there early, and we took two people to the show. So Yanman  and Joe both hit the Las Vegas trade shows running to get the latest and greatest info.

In addition to the annual CES show that we attend every year at this time, the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA), also held there convention at the same time. While it did keep us very, very busy, we were able to attend both events! So check out our coverage of all the action at VSDA.

If you missed our coverage of CES 2000, then you don't know how much "fun" a trade show of this size can be. With about 110,000 attendees, and over 3000 working press, getting around can be quite a hassle.

But, in the end, we came, we saw, and now we will report!

Instead of last year's day by day coverage, this year we are going for more of a vendor by vendor report, as well as our feedback on all the latest and greatest innovations 2001 winners.

We also attended all of the vendor press events, including Panasonic, Philips, Toshiba, Sony, and Tivo. We have included a page of updates for each of these as well.

The International Consumer Electronics Show is one of the largest trade shows in the world, with over 100,000 attendees.

Visit our coverage of the VSDA convention. Including the DVD awards!

Hey remember this guy? Last year we didn't know anything about him. Well he's Click!, the official mascot of CES for the last 4 years.
