VSDA convention and DVD Awards

On-Site report by Yanman and Joe

Well the VSDA convention really wasn't that exciting. This is the first VSDA that we have attended (it was helpful that is was the same time as CES this year.)   The tradeshow floor was mostly devoid of the major studios, who instead opted for private hotel suites. We still met with them all to discuss their current and future release plans. Stay tuned to our DVD news page for all of that info.

The only other event that we had time to attend was the VSDA Second Annual DVD Awards (They pointed out that the last time they had the awards was only six months ago though.)

Hosted by Chis Gore - Here are the nominations and winners - Feel free to compare them to our own Top 10 DVDs of 2000.

Ladies and gentlemen your host Chris Gore. Let's count how many "recount" jokes we hear, because of his last name...
