15 Minutes (InfiniFilm edition)

DVD Review by Yanman

"Ok you broaden the format. In the end the story they will run is the one with the juice. They want ratings as much as I do. If it bleeds it leads!"

News media, it seems to get more and more powerful every day. If you are a target of the mainstream media, or even worse the tabloid shows you better hope it's because you saved some one from a fire or a flood. Even as a hero though you better hope you didn't bounce a check or forget to mail your vehicle registration in, because now they are watching you and they will forget all those good deeds as soon as they can sink their teeth into a few good morsels of gossip about you. The media can make you or break you in today's world so if you think you would just kill for your 15 minutes of fame, remember it may just be the last 15 minutes of your life.

When a veteran celebrity homicide detective (Robert De Niro) and a young idealistic arson investigator
(Edward Burns) first meet on the scene of a crime they seem to get along like fire and water, but after some mutual respect is formed they team up to stop two Eastern European criminals who are desperately trying to gain their own fame and fortune. While these two criminal masterminds (Pinky and the Brain) try to outwit all of the obviously less intelligent Americans the police are immediately on their tails. In a spectacular game of cat and mouse the two criminals stay just one step ahead of New York's finest.
When our two villains feel the long arm of the law knocking on their door the brains of the operation comes up with a plan fueled by our very own tabloid television.

Excellent video quality in an Anamorhic 2.35:1 aspect ratio, this video quality will not disappoint.
The audio is offered in Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and Stereo Surround. A fun menu starts this DVD off with a very fitting theme and with the infinifilm extras this is one DVD packed with Features, Two Documentaries, DVD-ROM features, Deleted Scenes, Director Commentaries and much more. You could easily spend all day watching all of the extras on this DVD and DVD-ROM we did.

This is one powerful thriller. A very well directed cast of fine actors this could be one of the movies you watch over and over. This fast paced movie will truly keep you on the edge of your seat and will keep you guessing until the end. With all of the power wielded by our media, you may think that there is some kind of secret power behind it all, but the truth is we fuel the fire, we watch the trials, we turn on the breaking news, we tune into Jerry. Now with a new line of reality television shows coming on who knows what's next the really scary thing is that they have to top yesterdays news they have to shock us even more, and they will. "Hard to believe? Watch!"
