“Space, the final frontier; These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise, its continuing mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.” After a very successful first season, Paramount Television made some changes to the crew of the starship Enterprise for season two. The ten forward lounge was created and a most unexpected bartender Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg) joined the cast, a new doctor came on board, Geordi moved into engineering, and Ensign Wesley Crusher joined the bridge crew on a more permanent basis. It is only in order, season by season, episode by episode, that you can really get a feel for the true progression of the crew. Watch now as season two unfolds. Episodes Include:
While these episodes are presented in there normal TV aspect ratio, and are not really enhanced in anyway on DVD, using a progressive DVD player and a HD TV or while viewing on a computer, you can view these episodes with better video quality then ever before. Sound quality is also enhanced, being offered for the first time in Dolby Digital 5.1. Fans love extras, and we have a few here, extras include: a mission overview of year two, memorable missions, a crew overview and more. While I doubt that any true fan will have to read a review to help decide whether or not to purchase this fine DVD collection, it gets our highest rating for pure enjoyment. And if you don’t like Star Trek enough to buy this set, why would you read this far down? Buy the DVD …ahead warp factor 9.4…engage!
