"What is your problem? I am pretty, I am sexy, I am fun, and no one will ever love you as much as I do. So why won't you marry me?" What happens if the person that you are dating is not at the same place in the relationship as you are? You know the whole she's ready to get married, he won't commit. Well for anybody that's been in these circumstances you know that it can be very sticky situation. Love Stinks is the quirky story of Chelsea Turner's (Bridgette Wilson) quest to win her reluctant lover Seth Winnik's (3rd Rock from the Sun's French Stewart) hand in holy matrimony. If the story doesn't make you laugh try the directory and cast commentary. If that doesn't work, check your pulse, you may be dead. Seth's friend and co-worker Larry (Bill Bellamy) is about to get married to the love of his life Holly (Tyra Banks), and Seth is going to be in the wedding party. Also in the wedding party is one very pretty bridesmaid named Chelsea. Now Seth and Chelsea hit it off from the very beginning, and their physical attraction is obvious. The problem is that Chelsea has a one-track mind, she wants to get married and she wants to do it now! Seth on the other hand is the stereotypical male in that he is more than just a little hesitant to commit. When this hesitation drags out to the point of break-up however, Chelsea doesn't only mad she tries to get even. Who will in this War of the Roses meets Fatal Attraction struggle? That answer may just surprise you. The audio here is Dolby Digital 2-channel Stereo (Dolby Surround) only. While this is not one of your action-packed thriller, it is still hard to understand why this is not offered in the better 5.1 Surround that is obviously (by looking at the credits) available. The video here is clean and for the most part artifact free. The only negative thing that I did notice, was a few dirt flecks here and there. This is not a distraction, but on a transfer of a film that is this new, completely uncalled for. The only extra available on this DVD is a Directory and cast commentary, but what a great extra it is. If you don't get this one for any other reason, rent or buy it just for this commentary. French Stewart is a riot, Brigette Wilson is annoyingly cute, and Jeff Franklin adds his personal touch. At times it is funnier than the movie itself. Is your significant other rushing you? Is your relationship going too good or really bad? Or maybe your just up for a good laugh, well if you are get ready to fall in and out of love, because in this case … Love Stinks.
